Camera Angles.

The way you put the camera can have a big effect on what the picture tells the audience. The angle of a shot can dramatically affect how we perceive the character.

`Mad Max` has some of the best extreme long shots in my opinion

1. The opening shot of a film is the audience's initial entry into the world, and an important first step in conveying the story's main ideas, themes, character arcs, and perspective.

2. An establishing shot in film making and television production sets up, or establishes the context for a scene by showing the relationship between its important figures and objects.

3. A full shot shows the subject fully, from head to toe (in the case of a person). Full shots using the 4x3 aspect ratio tend to include the subject and very little else. You can also get a medium full shot which is shot from the middle of the thighs upward.

4. A medium long shot/wide shot is a shot is a shot that shows the subject within their surrounding environment. A wide shot tells the audience who is in the scene, where the scene is set, and when the scene takes place.

5. A long shot typically shows the entire object or human figure and is usually intended to place it in some relation to its surroundings. These are typically shot now using wide-angle lenses.

6. A cowboy shot is a shot that is taken from the thighs up and your subject looks as though he is about to draw his gun from his gun belt.

7. an extreme long shot is a view from an even greater distance, in which people appear to be small dots in the landscape if at all.

8. A medium shot is a shot is a shot from the mid waist of a character. Medium shots are favoured in sequences where dialogues or a small group of people are acting, as they give the viewer a partial view of the background.

9. A medium close-up shot is when a filmmaker places their camera so that an actor is framed from right above their head down to about midway on their torso. The idea of a medium close-up shot is that you can still easily register the actor's emotions and facial expressions while also retaining some of the background.

10. A close up shot is a shot of the actors face to show the great amounts of emotion that the character they are playing is going through.

11. An extreme close up shot is where the camera frames the character very closely often so much that the outer portions of the subject are cut off by the edges of the frame.
