Reflection
Camera angles: with this section i learnt about all of the different shot types and how they look when you use them. I really enjoyed this, i enjoyed it when we had to go out and take our own photos using these shot types.
Using and setting up a camera/tripod: This was all new to me because i had never held a DSLR camera before let alone set one up. so with this i gained some very valuable skills that i will remember.
Sound recording: I found this interesting i learnt a lot about different sound recorders and sound recording equipment. i enjoyed going around college to record audio in different environments. i also really enjoyed learning about how to set up the sound recording studio.
Production paperwork: this was my least favourite part of this assignment but once we had finished it and could go onto recording our videos i finally understood why it was needed. Even though i didn't enjoy doing the paperwork i didn't mind learning about it I didnt know that there was someone who would scout out locations for shooting so i would say that i learnt a lot in this part.
Adobe Premiere Pro: This is one of my favourite things to do i have never used this programme before so learning something new so fast felt very rewarding. I can definitely say that i have learnt a lot and enjoyed this loads.
The process of making my video: I enjoyed this because i got to use the DSLR camera to shoot my photos of will and then i got to use one of my favourite pieces of software so i could put them into a video.
My critique of my final product: Overall i am very happy with my video because it was the first time i had ever done anything like that. If i could change anything i would add some transitions and i would make it more obvious what the song i used was. I also would have preferred to have more video footage instead of lots of pictures. i did find it quite hard t get my head around making a how to video using still images but i think i was able to pull it off quite well.
1) How well planned and organised was I ?
I think i was very well planned and organised but my plan would change with the mood i was in. I should have taken my photos of will a lot earlier because of all of the time he took off i spent days not doing anything because i was waiting for him to come in.
2) how well did i cope with the time scale?
I think i coped very well with the time scale there wasn't one point in the assignment where i thought that i wasn't going to finish my video.
3 ) anything that didn't go to plan
The only thing that didn't go to plan was that i had to wait for will to arrive after him taking a week off due to illness just to get photos but apart from that there was nothing else that didn't go to plan.
4) Quality of camera work
i was very pleased with the quality of my camera work there were no out of focus images or grainy images so i was very happy.
5) quality of audio.
The quality of my sound in the video was good i didn't have any audio of me speaking so i have nothing to comment on that apart from next time i might actually do a voice over.
6) Quality of my final edit.
i was very happy with the quality of my final edit it was exported at a very high quality so i have no complaints.
7) quality of sound mix.
This doesn't effect me because i haven't go a voice over and music that would be able to clash.
8) use of graphics
I dont think i used any graphics in my video.
9) final summary
if i was given the chance to improve i would have had a voice over and maybe more video footage instead of just photos and i would have taken the photos a lot earlier so i would have more time to edit my video.
